Payments made by one Spouse to another during the separation or following a divorce. The Court will decide the final payment plan even if it may be different than the agreed upon amount by both Spouses. Alimony payments cannot be deducted from the paying Spouses' income taxes and the receiving Spouse must pay income tax on all payments received. |

There are two types of custody:
Legal Custody - Able to make decisions for the child's welfare pertaining to: Medical, Education, etc.
Physical Custody - Able to physically see your child. |

MARITAL SETTLEMENT AGREEMENT |

An agreement made by the divorcing couple that outlines the division of: Property, Custody, Visitation, Alimony, Child Support, and any other terms the Spouses agree upon. |

The use of a trained and impartial 3rd party representative that meets with both Spouses that are not in agreement and attempts to bring them together before trial. |

The Spouse that files for divorce. |

The Spouse that receives notice of the divorce. |

The act of serving the other Spouse at the time that the Divorce Papers are filed with the County Court. |

|
An agreement entered into by divorcing Spouses that settles a disagreement and is filed to the County Court in the hopes of receiving the final divorce decree. |
